Nwakaeme Set To Extend Trabzonspor’s Stay

Nigeria’s Super Eagles striker, Anthony Nwakaeme has agreed to sign a new deal three year with Turkish Super Lig leader, Trabzonspor.

The new deal would bring an end to a long negotiation period between the player’s management and the Club’s hierarchy.

The 32-year-old is entering the final six month of his contract and was linked with a move to Galatasaray and Rayol Valladolid.

The former Hapoel Beer Sheva has now agreed to sign a new deal that will keep him at the untill 2025. He’s expected to pocketed €1.5m annually, excluding bonuses.

Turkish news outlet Sporx, confirmed that the only thing missing on the contract is Nwakaeme’s signature, but every details have been concluded.

The deal is expected to be signed in the next few days and official announcement will be followed.

The one cap Eagles forward has been in terrific form for Trabzonspor this season, scoring nine goals and recorded nine assists in 21 league appearances.

He signed for Black Sea Storm in 2018 from Isreali club Hapoel Be’er Sheva for €1.1m and won the Turkish Cup with them in 2020.
