World Cup Playoff: How Ghana, Nigeria Settled For Draw

0

The Black Stars of Ghana and the Super Eagles of Nigeria played a goalless draw on Friday evening at the first leg of the play off for Qatar 2022 World Cup.

Both teams had little chances, which they failed to convert with Nigeria coming closest in the second half with a pass to winger Moses Simon brilliantly saved by the goalkeeper.

Earlier, the central referee awarded a penalty to the Nigerian side after a Ghanaian defender was caught touching the ball in the box-18. The referee later changed his mind after consulting the video assistant referee (VAR).

The second leg of the play off holds on Tuesday at the MKO Stadium, Abuja.
