The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in the fast-approaching gubernatorial election in Osun state, Senator Ademola Adeleke has pledged to rehabilitate major roads in Iwoland sector of the State if elected.
He gave the assurance while addressing a mammoth crowd at a rally in Iwo, stating that he will work to ensure the needs of the people of Iwoland are met.
Senator Adeleke further bemoaned the neglect of Iwoland by the All Progressives Congress-led government in the state.
“Let me assure the people of Iwoland that we will not play lip service to their needs, and this will see us fixing major roads and end the undeserved pains that users go through. The people of Iwoland have endured enough pains, and by God grace, I will rehabilitate them.”
Senator Adeleke further promised to locate a College of Communication of the Osun State University in Iwo, noting that this will improve options of students and also contribute to the economy of the ancient town.
He also promised to correct the damages done to the local councils administration led by the Adegboyega Oyetola-led administration government.
Senator Adeleke further revealed that he will make the entitlements of workers his priority revealing that it is painful to see people who laboured for the state to go home without their deserved entitlements.
He said, “If Oyetola refuses to pay owed salaries and pension arrears, be rest assured that we will pay it”.
On the entourage of Senator Adeleke included Prince Kola Adewusi, the Deputy gubernatorial candidate, Professor Wale Oladipupo, the Chairman of Imole Project, Hon Sunday Bisi, the DG for the PDP campaign organisation, Hon Kolapo Alimi, the Deputy DG for the PDP campaign organisation among others.
