The Ekiti State House of Assembly has appealed to the federal government as a matter of urgency to fix the bad portions of federal roads in the state.
The Speaker of the Assembly, Rt Hon Funminiyi Afuye made this appeal while addressing the distinguished members of the assembly during plenary on Tuesday.
Hon. Funminiyi Afuye stated that motorists traveling from the hinterland to other neighboring states have led to the destruction of roads constructed by the state Government.
He further stated that Ado Ekiti – Ikere Ekiti and Akure road is in a very bad shape while urging the federal government to direct its relevant agencies for adequate intervention.
Speaking further, Hon Gboyega Aribisogan representing Ikole Constituency I charged the House to call on relevant agencies to fix the Ado-Iluomoba- Ijesa Isu road revealing that motorist plying the routes suffers untold hardship.
