Nigeria international, Victor Osimhen will be the point man for Napoli when the Serie A side host former champion Liverpool on day one of the UEFA Champions League (UCL) on Wednesday.
The Nigerian has been the main striker for Napoli this season as the team recorded their third Serie A win after a 2-1 win over Lazio on Saturday.
However, ahead of their first group tie against Liverpool, Napoli yesterday named its official squad for UCL with Osimhen leading the striking force.
In the list published on its official website, Osimhen topped the list of forwards named by Coach, Luciano Spalletti.
Osimhen will be joined in the front by Hirving Lozano, Giovanni Simeone, Matteo Politano, Alessio Zerbin, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Giacomo Raspadori.
Also included in the list is Cameroonian international Zambo Anguissa as well as Elif Elmas, Piotr Zieliński, Stanislav Lobotka, Tanguy Ndombele and Gianluca Gaetano.
Meanwhile, Osimhen has urged his teammates to fight on after the important away win against Lazio. Osimhen took to his Twitter handle to congratulate Napoli for the display against their host.”The fight continues, congratulations guys,” the Super Eagles striker wrote.
