Alhaji Mukaila Lamidi, popularly called Auxilliary, the leader of the disbanded Parks Management System in Oyo State has said that he stands for peace in the state and that, it is whatever the state’s governor, Engineer ‘Seyi Makinde wants that he wants too.
The erstwhile PMS leader made this declaration while speaking on a popular radio show broadcast live on Fresh 105.9fm in Ibadan on Saturday morning.
The programme anchored by Isaac Brown and monitored by PMParrot also saw Auxilliary declaring his total support for Engineer Seyi Makinde and his administration.
While speaking via the telephone, the former PMS boss, however, emphasized that being declared wanted “is not for me”.
It will be recalled that the Oyo State Police Command, on Friday, declared him wanted.
Alhaji Mukaila spoke further “We worked for Engineer Makinde’s emergence as governor and our group got compensated. This is the normal arrangement. Any group of NURTW that works for any party to gain power also becomes the regime that will control garages.
“So, the disagreement started when Otunba Seye (Famojuro) called me that we would have to bring in other groups to harmonize things at PMS, he said my deputy, treasurer and other positions would be given to other groups to accommodate them…”
At this point, he was asked why he was not at the townhall meeting held during the week for stakeholders in the transport sector, Auxilliary said “I cannot fight Government, I am still a core member of Oyo PDP, and moreover, my governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde and Otunba Seye have helped me so much, so I must not do anything against their interest.
“I will use this opportunity to tell my followers not to foment trouble in the state. Anybody that fights or cause trouble should be arrested and dealt with.
As for the guns they said they found in my house- it not true. Even if I have such number of guns, will I keep them in my house? I’m I a fool?
“Yes, the little I got while heading PMS is enough for me. I pray Allah to bless my efforts. I am also praying for Engineer Makinde to succeed exceedingly during this second term in office.”
