The governor of Oyo State, Engineer ‘Seyi Makinde, respected business mogul, Chief Bode Amao and several other prominent sons and daughters of Ibadanland were at Ibadan House located at Oke Aremo, in the ancient city on Saturday to witness the commissioning of four monumental projects executed by the outgoing Oluyemisi Adeaga-led exco of the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII).
Thought the event started late due to the incessant downpour experienced in the town, the governor of the state, Engr Makinde was represented by a powerful team led by Ambassador Taofeek Oladejo Arapaja, a former deputy governor of the state.
The four projects commissioned included the CCII Guest Chalet, CCII Radio Studio (Ibadan Radio), Kiriji War Monument and CCII Audio-Visual System.
The occasion was also used to Mr Tunji Gafaar and Mr Jide Iyanda with the ‘Most Patriotic Ibadan Indigene’ awards.
Professor (Chief) Dapo Afolabi, former Federal Head of Service was the chairman of the day.
Prince Oluyemisi Adeaga’s tenure as President-General of CCII ends on July 7, 2023.
