Nigeria international, Kenneth Omeruo has said he is happy to get his first goal of the season for Turkish club Kasimpasa.
Kasimpasa fell 2-1 at Istanbul rivals Galatasaray Friday night.
However, experienced defender Omeruo pulled a goal back for his team in the 54th minute after they had gone 2-0 down.
He rose high to power home a header from a corner kick and said afterward that Kasimpasa deserved a lot more from this Derby.
“What a game tonight! We deserved more. So happy with my first goal of the season, and also proud of this team. We keep going,” he declared on Instagram. He confessed to pre-match nerves.
“Galatasaray are one of the best teams in Europe. It is not easy to play here. Our legs were shaking,” he said.
Omeruo rejoined Kasimpasa for a third spell this summer from Spanish Segunda Division club CD Leganes.
