Moradeyo, Chairman Of Defunct COLAFITESU Joins Others To Mourn Koleoso’s Demise

Chairman of defunct Committee For Lam Adesina’s First Term Success (COLAFITESU), Bishop Ademola Moradeyo has joined other prominent citizens of Oyo State to mourn the demise of former Secretary to the Government of the state during the administration of late Governor Lamidi Adesina (1999-2003), Chief Michael Adeniyi Koleoso.

Moradeyo, in a statement on Tuesday, described the late politician whose demise occurred on Monday, September 2, 2024 at the age of 86 as a man of honour and integrity.

The Cleric who is presently the Chairman of Oyo State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Christian Wing expressed condolences to the Emi Abata Dynasty of Saki in Oke Ogun area of Oyo State, Chief Koleoso’s immediate family and all members of the progressives’ family in the country.

Moradeyo continued: “Babalaje as we all fondly called him was a man who thrived in the progress of the youths and young at heart. Apart from being the SSG to the government of Alhaji Lam Adesina, he was also the chairman of Alliance for Democracy in the state. He later became the National Chairman of the party.

“In his days, the decision of the party was supreme. He was a powerful SSG that had the executive governor as the Secretary of the party in the state.

“I will never forget when both Governor Lam Adesina and his SSG, Babalaje and the then EXCO of the state received their first term score card few weeks to the election from my NGO, COLAFITESU.

“It was such a colourful occasion and reception held in my honour as an official visitor of the then state government.

“I will say here that Oyo State and Nigeria have lost a great political icon who will be difficult replace. His death marks the era of true progressivism. The people of the state will really miss him”.

The Engineer turned cleric then added “On behalf of my family, I wish to pray for the repose of the soul of our beloved Babalaje. May God console the family he left behind.”
