The BCOS Chapel of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) has described the demise of Alhaja Wulematu Aweni Babalola, mother of the Oyo State NUJ Chairman, Comrade Demola Babalola as a huge loss to humanity.
The Chapel, in a condolence message made available on Sunday, commiserated with Comrade Babalola, the Oyo NUJ, and the Babalola family, praying God to grant them the fortitude to bear the loss.
The condolence message, which was signed by the Chairperson of BCOS Chapel, Comrade Dupe Fehintola, the union expressed sadness at the death of the Matriarch, urging Comrade Babalola not to feel dejected at her passing but to draw strength from her outstanding humanitarian deeds and carry through her banner of love, care and service to community.
“We share in the grief of the Babalolas at this time, but we urge them not to be overwhelmed by sadness because Mama has come to this world and left great and indelible marks on the sand of time.
“It is our prayer that God Almighty will continue to strengthen the family as you mourn her passage,” the message read.
The BCOS Chapel also urged Comrade Ademola Babalola to continue count on the support of all Comrades and the Journalism profession at this trying time
According to the condolence message, Mama Babalola’s legacy of love and dedication to humanitarian services will continue to inspire and guide the family and us all.
