Following the death of 35 children at a carnival-like event at Basorun High School in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, Asiwaju Adini Musulumi of Ibadanland, Arc (Dr.) Hassan Olawale Giwa has sympathized with the affected families.
Asiwaju Adini, in a condolence message, described the incident as a sad and very unfortunate one.
While expressing his condolence, Arc Giwa urged the affected families and guardians to take solace in the Almighty Allah through prayers, meditation and the Holy Quran.
“I sympathize with the grieving families and guardians of the Ibadan Children’s Funfair stampede incident for the loss of their beloved children.
“It is an unfortunate incident that calls for prayers for the affected families, guardians, Ibadan, Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole.
“As Asiwaju Adini of Ibadanland, I urge the affected families to take solace in the almighty through prayers, medication and the Holy Quran.
“I pray that almighty Allah gives those in the hospitals a speedy recovery.
“I also use the opportunity to sympathize with the organizers and the government of Oyo State over the sad incident.
“In the meantime, I want to appeal for proper planning in terms of security and logistics to be put in place and absolute compliance to the established security protocols in the subsequent programmes to avert reoccurrence of the unfortunate incident,” the founder of Hassan Olawale Giwa (HOG) Foundation said.
