Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has announced that the 280-bed multi-specialist general hospital project in Ojo Local Government Area will be completed and operational by December 2025.
Sanwo-Olu made the announcement during a working visit to the hospital facility yesterday.
He expressed confidence that the project would be ready by the end of the year, describing it as a significant healthcare development for the region.
“This massive infrastructure spans over six hectares of land and will provide full outpatient services, medical diagnosis, accident and emergency services, and other features typical of a specialist hospital,” Sanwo-Olu said.
He went on to highlight the hospital’s comprehensive features, including 280 beds arranged in four vertical structures.
“It also includes auxiliary facilities such as a large restaurant and central laboratory. The facility will have 64 flats for medical personnel, including both three-bedroom and one-bedroom apartments, distributed across four residential blocks,” he added.
Sanwo-Olu also stated that the hospital would be the largest in the Lagos West senatorial district.
“This will be an end-to-end complex, a place where people can live, work, and receive medical care.”
He expressed hope that the facility would be handed over before the end of the year and thanked the monarch of the area and other traditional institutions for their support.
“The completion of this project will bring significant improvements to the neighborhood and offer a renewal of life for residents.”
In addition to his visit to the hospital, Sanwo-Olu also performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the Platinum Shopping Complex at Iyana Iba Road, Ojo, Lagos.
