The General Manager, Oyo State Road Traffic Management Authority (OYRTMA), Commander Ayoade Adeoye has issued serious warning to abusers of road traffic laws in the state to desist and learn to obey traffic rules and regulations.
He said payable fines have been reviewed upwards by OYRTMA to discourage those who love to disobey road traffic laws and regulations.
Adeoye made particular reference to the state’s governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde.
His words “despite being the number one man in the state, His Excellency, Engineer Seyi Makinde obeys traffic lights and he does not drive against the traffic as in disobeying one-way rule.
“So, since the Governor is leading by example, I don’t see any reason why other road users should flout road traffic rules. We are bothered about okada riders, marwa and micra drivers. They have become so notorious and we are ready to tackle their lawlessness.”

Commander Adeoye gave these submissions while featuring on ParrotXtra Hour on Radio broadcast live on Splash 105.5fm Ibadan on Tuesday, July 15, 2025.
The popular radio show was anchored by Olayinka Agboola.
