The Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Barrister Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Lawal, has joined others to salute Chief (Dr.) Onikepo Akande, CON, on the occasion of her birthday, describing her as a quintessential leader, patriot, and an inspiration to generations.
In a congratulatory message personally signed by His Excellency, the Deputy Governor lauded the former two-term Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for her exemplary service to the nation and her steadfast commitment to the socioeconomic development of Oyo State and Nigeria at large.
Barrister Lawal noted that Dr. Akande’s towering achievements as a former President of the Lagos Chambers of Commerce and Industry, first Chairman of the Oyo State Education Trust Fund, and the chairperson of the recently inaugurated Monarch Economic Investments Committee of Ibadanland under the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rasidi Ladoja, reflect her deep passion for progress, education, and community upliftment.
He further described her as a distinguished industrialist, philanthropist, and Harvard-trained investment expert whose people-oriented vision continues to impact lives positively across sectors.
