Engineer Seyi Makinde, the governor of Oyo State has commended one of his political protégés, Hon.(Engr)Abiodun Babalola Ph.D, on his recent academic achievement of a doctorate degree in Energy Study from the University of Ibadan.
The Governor personally congratulated the lawmaker representing Ibadan North East Constituency 1 during his visit to the state’s House of Assembly for the presentation of the 2026 Appropriation Bill, after the Speaker of the Oyo State House Of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, formally informed the governor about Hon. Abiodun Babalola’s recent academic achievement as a doctor of energy study.
Governor Makinde while congratulating the new Ph.D holder, Hon. Dr. Abiodun Babalola maintained that people with clearer vision and focus like Hon.Babalola are more needed in political space of Oyo State and indeed, in Nigeria.
He therefore lauded Dr Babalola’s accomplishment, remarking that “this is the kind of quality we want in our party, PDP.”
The governor then called on all his other political protégés and the young minds to emulate Dr.Babalola who he described as a dedicated lawmaker and focused scholar, while he also congratulated him on his new appointment as a lecturer at the Department of Energy Study, University Of Ibadan.
