The Chairman Oyo TESCOM, Mrs Olubukola Oladipo, JP has tasked workers, especially education stakeholders on need to work diligently to guarantee restful retirement.
She gave this admonition at a special retirement thanksgiving held in honour of Pastor Akioye, the immediate president of ANCOPSS at a branch of the New Covenant Church last Saturday.
The TESCOM boss continued “There is no short cut when you climb a palm tree. You must come down just the way you climbed up or you crashland!
“Whether you are a teacher or non-teaching staff in the education sector, your reward for hard work and diligence is right here on earth before you depart.
“Both the Holy Quran and the Holy Bible are clear on this. It is whatever you plant that you will reap. Hard work does not kill. There are so many advantages you will gain when you work hard.
“As stakeholders in the education sector, diligence is required. All those young people we are taking care of can bring more blessings for us. Physically and spiritually, God’s blessings will continue to inundate us at home and at work only if we are diligent.
“For now, I will use this opportunity to reaffirm that, under His Excellency, Engineer Seyi Makinde, the governor of Oyo State, TESCOM has never had it better. We will continue to do our very best to ensure that we deliver. Welfare of all is important to us.”
