The Chairman of Oyo State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Christian Wing, Bishop (Dr.) David Ademola Moradeyo has proclaimed that political godfatherism will no longer exist in the state.

Bishop Moradeyo, who is also the Chairman, Oyo State Chapter of the Christian Council of Nigeria made the proclamation while speaking under divine inspiration at the Youth Convention of the Methodist Church Nigeria, Ogbomoso Diocese recently.

The well-respected cleric equally declared that “Oyo State is God’s Own State – consecrated by heaven as a State where continued peace and prosperity shall flourish”.

While delivering his sermon, the Bishop went ahead to proclaim that “as it is now, godfatherism does not exist in our state, and by divine assurance it shall never emerge. That era has ended. Instead, leadership ordained by heaven itself will continue to be ushered in, ensuring governance marked by integrity, progress, and divine mandate.

The Bishop further proclaimed that the “Haman forces” within and outside Oyo State shall be disgraced by God Himself, just as the biblical Haman was brought to shame (Esther 7:10) and also quoting Isaiah 54:17, he said “No weapon formed against the State, her People and Government shall prosper’’.

He assured that by divine declaration, godfatherism will not emerge anymore, and Oyo State will continue to flourish under God’s mercy, peace, and protection.

He further urged citizens and residents of the state to remain steadfast in prayers, recalling how fervent intercession once secured the release of abducted citizens in Oriire Local Government.

With the same unwavering faith, he urged the people to keep lifting the State before God, declaring that His mercy and grace will continue to abound, ensuring peace, progress, and divine protection for all.
