As Muslims in Oyo State commemorate the 2025 Eid-el-Kabir, Ambassador Romoke Ramat Ayinde, the state’s Iyalaje Adinni, has wished them well and urged them to utilize the occasion to be peaceful and respectful to one another regardless of their religious beliefs.

The CEO of Kayrom Lee Group of Companies said in a greeting to Muslims on Friday that the Sallah celebrations, also called the Festival of Sacrifice, “teach us about sacrifice, love, and kindness,” which are characteristics that both Muslims and Christians share.

She stated, “As we celebrate this joyous occasion, let us embrace the lessons of sacrifice, perseverance, love, tolerance, steadfastness, generosity, and respect for authority, which are the core values of this solemn festival, as exemplified by the Holy Prophet (peace be upon Him).”

Eid-el-Kabir is a time to gather with loved ones, exchange meals, and show each other support.” Additionally, it is a time to foster community cohesion and joy. Regardless of our religious beliefs, we can all take this opportunity as Nigerians to demonstrate respect and peace.

Respect is a fundamental value that transcends religious boundaries and fosters harmony among diverse groups. By embracing this spirit during Eid-el-Kabir, we can strengthen our bonds and promote understanding, ensuring a brighter future for all.
