The founder of One Love Family, Satguru Maharaj Ji has urged the present administration of President Muhammadu Buhari to as a matter of urgency, increase entry salaries for Police recruits to N250,000 and entry salary of Army recruits to N350,000 per month in order to save the security system in the country from total collapse.

Maharaj Ji made these suggestions while addressing a press conference on the state of the nation as parts of activities in commemoration of the 31st anniversary of establishment of Satguru Maharaj Ji village.

He declared that the need to increase the salaries of security agents, especially the police, was necessary in order to save the security situation from total collapse and preventing police from turning to something else.

Maharaj Ji said “in order to save the security situation from total collapse, preventing the police from turning to something else, the entry salary for recruits should be N250,000 per month plus free accommodation.

“The whole idea is for the police to have confidence in itself and faith in the system and loyalty to the constitution not for personal, tribal and religious interests.”

He added that “Nigerian Army entry salary should be increased to N350,000 with all the amenities. Upon entry, they should be made to undertake tours to all parts of Nigeria to learn the culture and tradition of the people to avoid any tribal and traditional mistakes that could cause intolerable harm to the people.”

Maharaj Ji while condemning the invasion of the National Assembly, called for the sack of the Commissioner of Police in the FCT.

He said “the CP FCT should be sacked for the security lapse which made the mace to be stolen; all the security men and women should be suspended, replaced, pending inquiry to this dastardly and treasonable act.”

He advised that anyone found guilty among the members of the National Assembly must be suspended.

Maharaj Ji said “however, there has to be a close circuit office for monitoring the in an out of the people from NASS to be controlled and managed by experts separate from the police. All NASS members who threw chairs or blows must be suspended.

“In the meantime, there has to be two gates within the Senate Chambers for all coming in to be checked. We love our leaders and we don’t want any harm done to them for whatever reason.”
