Nigeria international striker, Victor Osimhen will spend the remainder of the 2018-2019 campaign on loan at Belgian First Division A club Royal Charleroi Sporting Club, informs the official website of Wolfsburg.
The Ultimate Strikers Academy product had been on the radar of another Belgian top-flight club Zulte-Waregem last month, but they turned down the chance to sign him after undergoing trials.
Osimhen’s temporary employer, RSC Charleroi, currently occupy the eleventh position in the updated standings after four rounds in the league.
The 19-year-old was top scorer of the 2015 Fifa U17 World Cup after netting ten goals in seven matches, which helped the Golden Eaglets win the tournament for the fifth time in their history.
Since joining Wolfsburg in January 2017, Osimhen has made 16 competitive appearances for the German Bundesliga club in all competitions and is still searching for his first goal.
His contract with Wolfsburg will run out at the end of the 2019-2020 season.
