The silent revolution being carried out by Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State in the education sector has paid off again.

Ekiti State has stamped its authority as the leader in the education sector with the emergence of Master Adedipe Oluwatosin as the winner of this year’s edition of the Best Young Scientist of the Year organised by the Federal Ministry of Science and Technology.

The competition was organised under the 774 Young Nigerian Scientists Presidential Award in which a winner is picked from each of the 774 local government areas of the federation to compete at the national level.

In a letter to the Governor of Ekiti State, Mr Ayodele Fayose by the Minister of Science and Technology, Dr Ogbonnaya Onu, and dated March 15, 2017, the minister said Oluwatosin, a student of Shepherd International School, Ado-Ekiti, emerged the winner among the 774 young Nigerians who took part in the competition held by his ministry in Abuja.

Onu said the aim of the competition was to develop the interest of young people in science and technology and for the country to produce world beaters in the field.

The minister said the emergence of Oluwatosin was a testimony to the great attention the Fayose administration pays to education which is now yielding results.

Onu said Oluwatosin will be presented the award at the coming Technology and Innovation Expo in Abuja next week.
