The immediate younger brother of late Senator Isiaka Adeleke, Dr Deji Adeleke, Wednesday frowned at the speculations and rumours being peddled around on the cause of the death of his brother declaring that result of the autopsy is yet to be out.

Addressing a press conference in Ede on Wednesday, the family of the deceased led by Dr. Adeleke said the purpose of the briefing was to correct wrong information flying in the social media.

He stated that it would take one to two weeks before the result of the postmortem would be out and that it is after then that the actual cause of his death will be known.

He explained that his brother being a Muslim ought to have been buried on Sunday, the day he died but the family delayed the burial to determine the cause of death by carrying out a postmortem.

His words: “The death of our brother is extremely painful, it is still as if we are dreaming. We have cried over and over again. It is too sudden, the pain will take a while before it goes. But thank God for giving him to us and for what he was able to achieve.

“Our brother was a Muslim as you all know but we had to delay his burial till the following day so as to conduct postmortem test and the doctors said it would take one to two weeks before the result comes out.

“We are not pointing accusing finger at anybody, we don’t want any speculation. Nobody knows the cause of his death even the doctors until they carried out the full test.”

He urged the people of Ede, particularly the supporters of the late senator to ignore the gossips flying in the social media.

“We are therefore appealing to his supporters not to engage in violence. Our brother was a peaceful man and he will not be happy looking down seeing his people causing violence.

“We want to have peaceful ceremonies that is left to be done. We don’t want chaos and violence again.”

Adeleke then appreciated President Muhammad Buhari, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Senate President Bukola Saraki, Governor Ibikunle Amosun, Governor Ayodele Fayose, Governor Akeredolu and former Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola, Aliko Dangote, former governor Niyi Adebayo, traditional rulers, religious leaders and entire the people of the country for sympathizing with them.
