- Five Houses Also Burnt
A yet to be identified couple died at Ologuneru area of Ibadan, the capital city of Oyo State on Wednesday when a fuel tanker lost control and rammed into their car from the back.
During a visit to the scene of the incident, PMParrotng observed that the driver of the car and the passenger, presumed to be his wife, were trapped in the vehicle and could not escape as the truck fell directly on the victims.
The incident also left five houses burnt, including a car parked in the compound of one of the burnt houses.
Witnesses at the scene who spoke with our reporter said the driver of the truck was climbing the Ologuneru hill when he suddenly lost control of the truck and hit the vehicle from behind.
As at the time of filing this report, the Oyo State Fire Service personnel were still trying to put out the fire.
