Super Eagles manager, Gernot Rohr arrived in Kano, training ground of the home based players on Monday with Enrico Pionetti, national football team’s new Goalkeeper trainer.

The 62 year old Italian, who had worked with Rohr in his previous assignments at French Ligue 1 side, Club OGC Nice and Burkina Faso, accompany the German to the camp of home based players, who are preparing for their CHAN qualifiers against Benin Republic.

It is, however, unclear, what the role of Alloy Agu will be in the squad especially as the home based players are preparing for Africa Nations Championship qualifying fixtures with Benin Republic.

The new Super Eagles’ goalkeeper training featured for Leece from 1983 to 1986 and for Brescia in the following season. Other club sides he featured for include Anconitana, Salernitana, Cremonese and Imperia.

Enrico Pionetti has already started to work with Super Eagles goalkeeper trainer Alloy Agu at Kano camp.

In training on Tuesday, August 1, Pionetti and Agu worked with Super Eagles goalkeepers Ikechukwu Ezenwa, Dele Ajiboye, Okemute Odah and Theophilus Afelokhai.
