As part of his nationwide consultation over his bid for the chairmanship seat of the Peoples Democratic Party, one of the leading contestants, Professor Taoheed Adedoja has visited Kaduna.
The former Sports Minister who spoke in fluent Hausa was hosted at the party’s Kaduna State Secretariat on Thursday.
During the interactive meeting, Prof Adedoja promised to utilize his long standing relationship with the people of the North to further promote the desired unity of Nigeria as National Chairman of PDP.
A major focus of Prof Adedoja, a former pro chancellor of the Federal university of Dutse in Jigawa state, is his desire to reposition PDP among the youths in Nigeria while recalling his youthful years in different geopolitical zones of the country.
The former Dean of Education at Bayero University Kano was well received at the Kaduna state PDP secretariat by supporters across the northern states. In his remarks the PDP’s State Chairman, Barrister Hassan Hyat who had served as a minister, in his closing remarks, said that “Prof Taoheed Adedoja is known to be a man of integrity whose visit to Kaduna state is regarded as a “home coming , because he is one of us” The State Chairman wished Prof Adedoja God’s support in his chairmanship bid.
