The Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba Abdulraheed Akanbi has commended Shafaudeen In Islam Worldwide for promoting Islam with sincerity and focus.

Oba Abdulrasheed gave the commendation at the grand finale of Shafaudeen In Islam Annual Ishrat Convention held recently at the Islamic organization’s Headquarters, Wakajaye, Iwo-Road, Ibadan.

He expressed that what Shafaudeen In Islam is doing is to ensure that practicing and propagation of Islam is beyond a conservative nature, however, gives room for research and other developments.

He charged other religious leaders in the country to emulate Professor Sabit Olagoke, who habitually brings everybody together irrespective of religion affiliation in the course of their service to ensure peace among the people.

In his lecture on Corporate Governance and Strong Institution: Pathway to Nigeria Sustainable Development, Prof. Olagoke highlighted corruption, indiscipline and low human development as factors responsible for failure of the country’s corporate governance and strong institutions.

He noted that the state of the nation is neither sustainable nor bequeath-able to the youth as a legacy.

Prof. Olagoke emphasized that for any government to be able to utilize God’s given resources to the optimum level, there is need to embark on capacity building and human capital development in order to build strong institutions rather than strong individuals.

He pointed out effective economy diversification, zero tolerance for corruption and promotion of institutional discipline as pathway to Nigeria’s Sustainable Development.
