2018 Africa Women’s Cup Of Nations: How Ordega Got Voted MVP In Falcons’ Win

Super Falcons striker, Francisca Ordega was voted woman of the match following her impressive display in Nigeria’s 4-0 win against the Shepolopolo of Zambia in their Group B encounter at the Cape Coast Stadium on Wednesday.

Ordega, 25, provided the assist for the team’s opening goal scored by Desire Oparanozie and netted the second goal.

The forward who is on loan at Spanish Primera Division club, Atlético Madrid from Washington Spirit of the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) produced a near flawless performance in the game.

Ordega is the first Super Falcons player to pick the award in the competition at the 2018 Africa Women’s Nations Cup.

The former Rivers Angels star has been capped 27 times by Nigeria and scored seven times.

She was part of the Super Falcons team that won the AWCON title in 2010 and 2014.
