Osun Assembly Candidate Tells Youths, Security Agents, ‘Don’t Allow Yourself To Be Used As Agents Of Destruction’

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in the Osun State House of Assembly election for Ife North State constituency, Prince Akinyode Abidemi Oyewusi has advised youths in the constituency and the people of state at large to be wary of politicians who love using youths as agents of destruction to achieve their selfish objective.

The founder of Prince Akinyode Abidemi Oyewusi (PAAO) Foundation also charged security operatives to respect the rule of law and desist from being used as instruments of oppression in the coming elections on Saturday, March 9, 2019.

Prince Oyewusi, in a press statement made available to journalists expressed that it will be undemocratic and uncivilized to be depriving the people from performing their civil responsibility as established by the constitution.

According to him, “It is important to make clear that every arrangement by the ruling party to oppress the people and candidates of the Peoples’ Democratic Party in Ife North State Constituency shall be strongly resisted and subverted.

“The forthcoming House of Assembly Election is an opportunity for the people to chose the who will represent them at the state House of Assembly. It is the people’s right to speak through their votes.

“However, any attempt to heat up the polity and tactically disenfranchise citizens and residents of Ife Land from performing their civic rights shall not be accepted.

“I hereby call on security agencies to respect the rule of law and desist from being used as tools of oppression against the people. Also, I am using this medium to appeal to my fellow youths not to make themselves available as weapon of destruction.

“Government that can not empower you positively in eight years should not use you as tools to disrupt the peace of our land. Let’s march together for victory, peace and progress,” Prince Akinyode Oyewusi concluded.
