Fayemi’s Wife To Ekiti Youths: Embrace Creative Arts For Livelihood

The wife of the Governor of Ekiti State, Erelu Bisi Fayemi has called on the youths to consider the creative arts industry as a place where they can earn a living and share their God – given talents.

Mrs Fayemi also urged the people of Ekiti state to value and promote the Culture, Arts and Tourism of the state to boost economic development and promote the growth of the state.

She made the call while speaking with the newsmen at the closing ceremony of the 2019 Ekiti State Festival of Arts and culture EKIFEST held on Friday in Ado Ekiti, the Ekiti State Capital

Giving further insight on why people must value their cultural heritage, the first lady explained that Arts and culture provide so many opportunities such as Music, Dancing and lots of things that could help to tackle unemployment in the state

The First Lady said that the 2019 EKIFEST was designed to restore Ekiti core values as a people, as well as, provide empowerment to jobless people in the state

She, however, lauded the state government for initiating the programme, while appreciating the presence of the Deputy Governor, Otunba Bisi Egbeyemi and Ambassador Eniola Ajayi, for their support for Arts and culture in Ekiti State.

Among the dignitaries present are Deputy Governor, Otunba Bisi Egbyemi, Ambassador Eniola Ajayi,  Comrade Tar Ukoh, the Artistic Director of the National Troupe of Nigeria and some of the Yoruba Nollywood.
