How We Intend To Make Ekiti State Attractive To Investors

Dr Kayode Fayemi’s government in Ekiti State has restated its resolve to providing enabling environment for investors in the state.

Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Abiodun Oyebanji made this known in Ado-Ekiti while playing host to the Political Officer, U.S Consulate, Jillian Itharat.

The State’s Scribe affirmed that the Fayemi-led administration is committed to providing security, good road network, energy and safe city programme to assist the security apparatus in gathering intelligence towards safeguarding the lives and property of investors as well as the entire people of the state.

He said investors in the Agriculture and Industrial Sectors will be supported with land, improved seedlings, infrastructure and adequate security to ensure their investments are protected.

Oyebanji noted that the present administration intends to drive the state’s development by leveraging on the intellect of its citizens across the globe.

He stressed that to fund government’s various projects and initiatives, the State Government is working assiduously to increase the internally generated revenue by stimulating the economy with a view to bringing more people into the tax net, and tightening all leakages and instituting reforms in key sectors of government.

The Secretary to the State Government however said the resolve of the current administration to keep a clean balance sheet has greatly assisted the state in attracting funding from development partners and donor agencies.

Earlier, the Political Officer, U.S Consulate, Jillian Itharat had said she came on the visit to familiarise herself with the state.

She urged the State Government not to hesitate bringing to their notice any project that could be of interest to the United States.
