The Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Diran Odeyemi has expressed delight at the coming back into the party’s fold by the former Governor of Osun State, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola at the Unification Rally of the PDP in Ibadan which comprised all former members of the party and new entrants from other political parties who all decided to retrace their steps back into the only political party that makes promises to the electorates and fulfill same without any flimsy excuses.
Prince Odeyemi said it was another giant stride and rekindling of hope for the opposition party that the likes of Prince Oyinlola, Alhaji Fatai Akinbade, Chief Fasawe, just to mention a few have found out by themselves and seen at the other side what politics looks like in other political parties that didn’t know how PDP started the Democratic process which Nigeria is enjoying today.
Odeyemi said it is those who decamped back to PDP that can make precise and adequate comparison between PDP and other political parties who are ruling by deceit.
Prince Odeyemi said the coming back of Prince Oyinlola is a signal that all is now set for PDP to capture the South West and indeed the country, beginning with the governorship election of Ondo State later this year and till 2023 when the Presidency will be taken back and the economy will be revamped and rejuvenated.
Odeyemi who recalled that the last time he had a discussion with Prince Oyinlola, the response was that he was not ready to join a political party that will be riddled with factions and personal interest of individuals because success does not exist in any political party that is plagued with factional groupings.
Odeyemi, however, appealed to all members of the Peoples Democratic Party in the whole of the six States in the South West to listen to the appeal of Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, who also doubled as the Chief Host of the program to be accommodating with the new brothers and sisters who have come back to join the party with the hope of ensuring that the party takes over the mantle of leadership of the country and rescue Nigerians from those who have been holding them at the jugular with economic strangulation and unimaginable decline in the security network of our great country. He appealed to them to adopt the style of Oyo state and unify themselves according the experience of the Oyo State chapter of the PDP which produced the government of PDP under Engineer Seyi Makinde.
Prince Odeyemi, however, congratulated the people’s Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde for the good initiative he mustered at ensuring that the Unification Rally took place in Ibadan, the birth place of Nigeria democracy.
He also prayed that God in his infinite mercy will listen to the yearning and sufferings of Nigeria under the oppressive regime of APC and crown the efforts of the Peoples Democratic Party and give the party victory in all future elections in Nigeria at all levels.
