The Oyo State House of Assembly member representing Afijio state constituency, Hon. Seyi Adisa has distributed face masks and other protective materials to all secondary schools in the constituency.
The Lawmaker also distributed face masks to all the returning Senior Secondary School students in the constituency.
The materials which included sets of handwashing buckets and sanitizers is to ensure safety of all students across 17 secondary schools in the constituency as they get set to write their certificate exams.
While presenting the protective materials, Hon. Adisa stressed the need to ensure safety of the students, considering the peculiarities attendant with the COVID-19 pandemic.
The lawmaker in his goodwill message to the students wished them success in their exams.
According to him, “Earlier today, we went to all the secondary schools in Afijio to encourage the returning Senior Secondary School students (SSS3), who are set to write their Certificate exams (WAEC). More importantly, we saw and fixed the need for them to do it safely, considering the COVID-19 situation.
“Hence, our donation of facemasks to all of them, with complete sets of handwashing buckets and sanitizing to each of the 17 schools. They will pass excellently, we believe and encourage, but they must be first, safe,” he said.
Hon. Adisa thanked the Teachers and officials for their dedication and commitment to ensure the success of the students.
