Nigeria’s Super Eagles manager, Gernot Rohr has revealed that he is glad to work with the new players invited for the friendlies against Cameroon.

The likes of Terem Moffi, Vincent Onovo, Anthony Ikechukwu and Marcus Abraham were invited to the team for the first time, while Peter Olayinka and Valentine Ozorwanfor earned a recall after long time.

Speaking to NFF media after the Tuesday’s goalless draw against the arch rivals Cameroon, Gernot Rohr described the new players as motivated guys who are proud to represent their father’s land.

Rohr also expressed his gratitude to the players for making it to the camp despite the late invitations.

“The players are really very very motivated.

“What we can say now is  that I don’t only have 30 players, I have 45 now because from the first list I made 16 couldn’t make it but then we found 12 other players to come in the last moment by car from Hungary, and Czechoslovakia so we have some boys who are really proud to be with us and we can be grateful that they could give us at least 17players for the camp and on the field to play these our twogoalkeepers,” he said.
