Nigeria’s Super Eagles winger, Moses Simon has revealed that the team are not afraid of facing any team in their round of sixteen clash on Sunday, January 23.
The dribbling wizard, who has proved to be the Super Eagles’ most potent attacking threat at the Africa Cup of Nations with his pace and trickery, and has a goal and assist to show for it, said there is no pressure on the Nigeria team to face any team in the next round.
The Super Eagles possible opponents in the next round is becoming clearer after the results of the final round of matches in the group phase.
The Augustine Eguavoen-led side will face the third placed team in Group E containing Ivory Coast, Equatorial Guinea, Sierra Leone and Algeria or one of Gambia, Mali or Tunisia in Group F.
Speaking to reporters in the mixed zone after the win against Guinea-Bissau, Simon said : “Actually we don’t have any pressure, we are a group that believe in ourselves, and I believe there is no pressure, we just need to take things step by step.
“Actually we don’t have any favorite team, we just believe any team that comes our way we will do our best to win.”
The Super Eagles have placed on the podium a record fifteen times at the Africa Cup of Nations with three gold medals, four silver medals and eight bronze medals.
