We Are Ready To Hold Fun Golf Kitty On August 27 – Omajuwa, Head Of IGC’s Ladies’ Section

The head of caretaker committee of the ladies’ section of Ibadan Golf Club (IGC), Oyinlola Omajuwa has confirmed 27th August as date the Fun Golf Kitty, a golf tournament she conceptualized for the pleasure of the IGC members and other fellow golfers that may be interested in participating.

Omajuwa in chat with newsmen in Ibadan, the capital city of Oyo State said all is set to have the maiden golf kitty at the Ibadan Golf Club with more than 100 golfers showing interest to participate in the one-day tourney.

Omajuwa who came into office in June this year has also promised that the game of golf which is the primary aim of joining a golf club is played well with utmost enjoyment by joining the executives of IGC in ensuring that the golf course is playable.

“After making our course playable, then we can talk about the hole nineteen, which is the social aspect of golfing, where you go to the club house to relax eat good food, do good networking and enjoy the merriment generally and that’s most important to us at Ibadan Golf Club.

“As the caretaker committee, I can tell you on behalf of my able committee members that we’re ready to turn things around; we come with dedication to service, and humanity, we are not coming to office to show off, we are coming here to make a difference in terms of serving the people.

“We are ensuring that we coordinate the section by integrating everybody into the fabrics of golf. And we are going to ensure transparency in all our dealings. We want to exhibit a good leadership spirit. We want to play our kitty on Tuesday’s and play it well”, said Omajuwa

She, however, commended other members of her committee, including Ms. Omolaraeni Olaosebikan, the secretary of the committee and the CEO of Perfect Clicks Signature, Mrs. Dorcas Oluwatunmise and Mrs. Lizzy Afonja, a former Lady Captain of IGC for the supportive roles they are playing.
