Barrister Sulaimon Ajeniyi Ajewole has been as elected President General of Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes, CCII.
The election took place at Ibadan House, Oke-are area, Ibadan, Oyo State capital.
OYO NEWS understands that Ajewole, an astute lawyer polled a total vote of forty-six to defeat his opponent and incumbent President-general of CCII, Prince Oluyemisi Adeaga, who scored thirty-nine.
The emergence of Ajewole sparked wild jubilation among the delegates who are from the ninety-nine clubs which participated in the election exercise.
Also elected as officers were Samson Taiwo as Vice President- One, while Kola Olomide emerged the PRO.
Some of the indigenes adjudged the election as free and fair, urging the President-General elect and his team to focus on unity among indigenes, security of Ibadan neighborhood and the completion of Olubadan’s Palace.
