The PDP stakeholders in Ibadan North East Local Government have voted 13 votes to 1 vote to endorse the incumbent chairman Hon. Ibrahim Akintayo as the candidate of the party in the 2023 Council polls.
Present for the process included Chief Bayo Lawal (Former H.C & D.G Seyi Makinde Campaign Organisation), Hon. Akeem Oladeji (Party Leader), Alhaji Akeem Azeez (P.A GOV. Seyi Makinde), Hon Biodun Babalola ( HOA Const. 1), Hon Akinajo (For HOA Const. 1), Hon Sola Owolabi (HOA const.2), Mrs. Funmilayo Arulogun ( former S.A diaspora), Alhaji Isiaka Fatokun Abuye ( Party Chairman), Mogaji Wale Ladoja (Party Leader), Hon Adeyanju ( Former S.A), Captain Peter Adebayo ( former Council Chairman), Engr. Akin Akinleye ( Party Leader), Hon Gbenga Adewusi ( Former Council Chairman) and Leader Remi Yusuf (Party Leader).
The voting by the stakeholders on the councillorship aspirants to endorse as candidates was postponed till Friday, 14th July 2023.
