Super Eagles’ star, Moses Simon, posted a Man of The Match performance for Nantes after he made two assists and scored an injury time penalty to seal his side’s 5-3 triumph over their local rivals Lorient at the Stade de Beaujoire on Saturday.

It was his second goal of the season for Nantes who moved up to sixth in the Ligue 1 standings.

Simon encapsulated everything that went well for the Canaries in the encounter as he constantly posed a threat down the right side.

He was pivotal in Matthis Albine’s equaliser in the 46th minute, as well as Mollet’s effort seven minutes from time.

The Nigerian winger deservedly got his goal with a calm strike from the penalty spot, topping off a sensational afternoon.

In the English Premier League, Alex Iwobi made his second substitute appearance on Saturday when he came on for Andreas Pereira in the 75th minute in Fulham’s goalless draw with Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

In the Germany, former Nigeria international, Anthony Ujah scored two goals to help his Bundesliga 2 side Eintracht Braunschweig avoid defeat at home as they drew 2-2 with visitors 1FK Nuremberg.

The 32-year-old striker scored the opening goal in the 29th minute. He made it 2-0 for his club in the 64th minute. Ujah has now scored three goals in seven games.

The striker has previously played for Liaoning Hongyun (China), Lillestrom (Norway), FC Cologne, Mainz, Union Berlin and Werder Bremen (all in Germany).

In Saudi Arabia, striker Odion Ighalo was among the goals for his club Al Wehda in their 4-0 win over Abha.

The ex-Manchester United forward scored in the 88th minute to take his tally to five goals this season.
