“Fondly known as Olusoga of Soga Land, he was a beacon of community service, deeply committed to the growth and development of Ilisan. As a seasoned communication and public relations expert, and a senior management staff of the Nigerian Tribune, he played a pivotal role in providing media support, particularly during the Isanbi Day & Homecoming celebration. His invaluable contributions will be long remembered.

“Beyond his professional achievements, Soga Oke was a loving husband, a devoted father, and a pillar of unity in his family. His own words encapsulate his journey: ‘My journey, which began at Massey Street Children’s Hospital in the late fifties, has now come full circle. To GOD be all Glory.’

“Dearest Soggy, the second man to everyone who met you, the 12th man in every team—may your kind and gentle soul rest in perfect peace. May God comfort your wife, your wonderful children, and the entire Oke family”.

Soga Oke, while alive was a very popular man in media circles in the South West of Nigeria. He was a vibrant advert canvasser for the Nigerian Tribune.
