Abiodun’s Govt. Commissions New Classrooms, Pledges More Infrastructure

The Prince Dapo Abiodun-led government in Ogun State has commissioned a newly constructed storey building with eight classrooms at Akute Community High School and has completely refurbished all existing buildings at Zumratul Islamiyya Primary School, Akute, in Ifo Local Government Area on its efforts to provide a conducive learning environment for students in the state.

Speaking during the commissioning of the new classrooms and the renovated buildings at both schools, the State Commissioner for Education, Science, and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu, stated that the building was constructed from the scratch within three months to swiftly provide a more conducive learning environment for students.

Prof. Arigbabu, according to Mr. Ayoola Obadimu, Information and Public Relations Officer, MOES&T, appreciated Governor Dapo Abiodun for another epoch-making achievement, stated that the infrastructure would linger on in the memory of the Pupils who had witnessed learning under a tense atmosphere in the past.

The Commissioner assured that tables and chairs would also be supplied to the school so as to ensure a better learning condition, reiterating the commitment of the government to further provide infrastructure towards improving standards of education.

Now that you have a very good learning environment, you must work hard on your Higher Education Potentials”, Arigbabu charges teachers and learners.

The Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Mrs. Oluwatosin Oloko while shedding light on the need to sustain the standard of the structure, she implored the school principal to closely monitor the learners in order to put the building into good use.

Remarking, the Principal of the school, Mrs. Adesola Adebukola, noted that the structure represents progress, growth and unwavering government’s commitment towards ensuring standard in the education sector, expressing her gratitude to Governor Dapo Abiodun for making the vision a reality.

In their separate remarks, the Chairman of Ifo Local Government Area, Hon. Olamilekan Kushimo, Alakute of Akute, Oba Aliu Akindele, Ifo APC Chairman, Barr. Olumide Oluwole and Zonal Chairman of Ifo Community Development Council, Alhaji Basiru Akangbe also appreciated the government for such a landmark achievement.

Speaking on behalf of the learners, Favour Agbo of Akute Community High School and Bolutife Bamidele of Zumratul Islamiyya Primary School commended the government for transforming their schools from moldy nature to a palace.
