The Chairperson of the Oyo State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), Mrs. Olubukola Oladipo, has extended heartfelt sympathy to the Chairman and entire management of Fresh FM, following the devastating fire incident that engulfed the station’s headquarters in Ibadan on Friday, August 15, 2025.
In a statement issued from the TESCOM headquarters in Ibadan, Mrs. Oladipo described the inferno as a tragic and deeply saddening event, especially given the invaluable role Fresh FM has played in shaping the media landscape of Oyo State and beyond.
“I wish to extend my sincere condolences to Dr. Yinka Ayefele, the founder and chairman of Fresh FM, and to every staff member affected by this unfortunate incident. Fresh FM is more than a radio station—it is a voice of the people, a hub of innovation, and a vital institution in our state,” she said.
Mrs. Oladipo praised the resilience of the Fresh FM team and expressed confidence in their ability to overcome the setback and emerge even stronger.
As a state focused on educational and social development, we stand in solidarity with media houses like Fresh FM that have consistently supported public enlightenment and civic responsibility. We will continue to collaborate with all stakeholders to foster a more secure and progressive Oyo State,” she added.
Mrs. Oladipo concluded her message by urging the public to support the rebuilding efforts of Fresh FM and to remain vigilant in fire safety practices, especially during periods of heightened weather-related risks.
