Glorious Sports’ Super Fight Boxing Show To Be Hosted In Ibadan

Ibadan, the capital city of Oyo State, will be enlivened this Sunday, 21st September 2025, when Glorious Sports Promotions will be staging a boxing show tagged “Super Fight 3.0” at the indoor sports hall of Lekan Salami Sports Complex, Adamasingba, Ibadan.

The highlight of the event, as noted by Ganiyu Oladayo, the CEO of Glorious Sports Promotions, is the matchup between Nigeria’s Wasiu Akintayo and Soule Keke from the Republic of Benin. This bout is expected to be exciting, given the confidence and bravado displayed by both fighters.

Other notable boxers that will fight on the card are Balogun ‘Modric’ Oluwasina, Azeez Lateef the Sledge Puncher, Oluwatosin Adesina the Destiny Boy, Atoyebi Emmanuel Olamilekan, Samuel Opurum, Agboola ‘Tiny’ Durotimi, Victor Chikanele, Cliton Blessing, and Kolawole Toheeb. Wasiu Ayomide Raheem, Olalere Wareez, Yusuf Adams, Oyewole ‘Coded’ Ibrahim, Mojeed Soldier Boy Warith, Yakub ‘Fakky’ Faruk, and Olaniyi Oluwafemi, among others.

Some entertainers and hip-hop artists such as Vtino Currency, Voldom, SBmninety, Prof Gee, Lummy D, Hamzydrexe, Da Crystals Dancers, and the Zion Kids dance group will also treat the audience to exhilarating performances, as the first 1000 spectators will also receive free Durore herbal drinks, which are one of the support products for the show.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Oyo State Chapter of the Nigerian Boxing Board of Control (NBBofC), the body that regulates every professional boxing activity in Nigeria, Hon. Gbenga Opaleye, has commended the management of Glorious Sports Promotions for its efforts and shrewd manner of organizing the boxing show.

Opaleye, however, promised all the teeming boxing enthusiasts in the state an exciting moment with constant live boxing action. “We have taken a bold step in reawakening the professional boxing in Oyo State with the recent training/workshop that we organized for boxing referees and judges, the first of its kind in the history of professional boxing in the state,” Opaleye noted.

He emphasized the importance of such initiatives in fostering local talent and ensuring fair play in the ring. With a renewed focus on developing boxing, Opaleye expressed optimism that Oyo State would soon become a hub for boxing, attracting both fans and aspiring fighters alike.
