Actress and producer, Faithia Williams has mourned the passing of her colleague and mentor, Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo.
The veteran actor died on Sunday, August 23rd, after losing his battle with stage-four cancer.
His daughter, Kira, broke the news during a live broadcast.

At the late actor’s eight-day Fidau prayer on Monday, Faithia spoke fondly of the impact Ogogo had on her life and career.
According to her, Ogogo played a major role in helping her settle back into Nigeria after years in London.
She said his warm reception when she joined the Odunfa theatre group gave her a sense of belonging.
The actress described the late thespian as a man whose honesty and calm nature earned him respect across the industry.
“Ogogo wasn’t just a boss to me; he was someone who contributed greatly to my person when I came back from London to join Nigerians at Odunfa. He was there for me, and I was greatly and warmly welcomed. He was honest, peaceful and irreplaceable”, she said. ExploringAfrican Diaspora Media
