Arc. Hassan Olawale Giwa has emerged as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Lagelu State Constituency.
Giwa was affirmed at the APC primary election held on Wednesday, after being chosen as the consensus candidate by party stakeholders and co-aspirants.
The process was marked by unity, with Hon. Akinpelu Akinyo and members of the Akinyo group pledging their support for his candidacy. The outcome signals growing cohesion within the APC in Lagelu ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Speaking after the affirmation, Giwa expressed appreciation to the leadership and members of the party for their unwavering commitment during the just-concluded screening and primary election process.
“My promise is simple: I will bring representation that is visible, accountable, and results-driven. Lagelu should not be known as just another local government area. With unity, discipline, and smart partnerships, we can make Lagelu a model for rural-urban development in Oyo State,” he said.
Giwa thanked party leaders, elders, and co-aspirants for their sportsmanship and commitment to the collective goal of the APC.
He called on all party members to join hands in mobilizing grassroots support to ensure victory for the party in the next election.
