Skit maker and actor, Samuel Perry, popularly known as Broda Shaggi, has spoken publicly for the first time in months, thanking fans who supported him during his absence from the public scene.
The comedian, who has kept a low profile and stayed away from shows, events and other social engagements in recent months, said he had been unable to interact with his fans as much as he would have liked.
Message
In a heartfelt message posted on his WhatsApp channel on Friday, Shaggi expressed appreciation to supporters who continued to check on him despite his prolonged break.
“To everyone who’s still here… waiting, checking in, showing love, and holding me down even through the silence, thank you. I don’t think y’all truly understand how much that means to me.
“Even when I haven’t been able to show up the way I wanted to, knowing that y’all are still here has meant more than I can put into words”, he wrote.
Shaggi did not reveal the reason for his absence, stating that he was not ready to share the full details yet.
He, however, assured fans that he would address it in due time and expressed optimism about returning soon.
“I wish I could tell y’all everything right now… but I can’t. Not yet. Just know I haven’t forgotten about you, and I haven’t stopped thinking about the day I can finally come back and really be ME with y’all again. I’m hoping that day comes soon,” he said.
Promise
The content creator promised a stronger comeback.
“And when it does, I promise I’m coming back better, stronger, and ready to make up for all this lost time.
“I LOOOOOOOOR Y’ALL SOOOO MUCH. Thank you for staying. Thank you for being patient with me. Thank you for still being here”, he added.
Shaggi’s message comes months after an alleged shooting incident involving the comedian raised concerns among fans and sparked widespread speculation about his wellbeing.
