Super Eagles Manager, Gernot Rohr is confident ahead of his wards’ 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Seychelles on September 7.
At a world press conference in Lagos, Rohr, unveiled a list of three goalkeepers, eight defenders, six midfielders and seven forwards for the game.
“We have a good team going into the match. We are confident going to the game against Seychelles,” he said.
The foxy coach is building for the future and he has invited four new faces including Porto B playmaker Kelechi Nwakali to the Eagles team for the make or mar fixture.
“We have invited four new players to beef up the team. They are Jamilu Collins, Semi Ajayi, Kelechi Nwakali and Samuel Kalu.
“All the new boys will add quality to the team,” Rhor assured at a press conference on Friday.
The Super Eagles boss gave an insight on what to expect from his wards in the game against Seychelles in September.
“I want to see goals, victory, a team playing with motivation,” the Franco-German said with an infectious smile.
“The major objective is to see a team that gives joy and entertainment.
“I want to see goals and players approaching game with confidence,” he added.
The AFCON qualifier will be played at the Stade Linité (Roche Caïman (Mahé), which is a synthetic pitch.
“We will train three times at a synthetic grass. We want to practice on this special pitch before the game to be used to it and have possibility of playing different brand of football.
“We must play short and precise passes. It will be interesting for us to prepare ahead of the game. We will be fine.”
Both Nigeria and Seychelles are without points after they lost their opening qualifiers.
