
In order to join Governor Seyi Makinde’s improvement campaign of primary health care system, the caretaker Chairman, Ibadan South Local Council Development Area, Alhaja Kehinde Eboda- has presented baby need items to nursing mothers.
The items were presented to over 70 nursing mothers across the council area at ALGON Comprehensive Health Centre, Eyin Grammar, Molete, Ibadan.
While presenting the items to the beneficiaries, the Chairman, Alhaja Kehinde Eboda, disclosed that the idea was to compliment the effort of the state government to improve health care system in the grassroots.
She pointed out that Governor Seyi Makinde has embarked upon programmes to improve primary health care services in the state, therefore, all hands must be on deck to ensure that the objective of campaign is realized.
Hon. Eboda, while advising the beneficiaries to make proper use of the items, said that their attention should always be on their children to make them better persons in the society.
The Chairman urged parents to take advantage of Governor Seyi Makinde’s free education policy to send their children to school, saying that the dream of children of today becoming leaders of tomorrow is very paramount in the mind of the governor.
Hon. Eboda stressed her commitment to always toe the line of the state government to improve the general well-being of the people at grassroots through various developmental programmes like this.
The Matron of the ALGON Comprehensive Health Centre, Mrs. Adetunji Bolanle commended the chairman for her kind gesture towards improving health system in the council area.
She opined that the gesture will endear people more to the government.
Some of the beneficiaries who spoke with PMParrot expressed their gratitude to the council boss. They promised to make judicious use of the items.
The event was attended by the Head of Local Government Administration, Mrs. Mojisola Thomas and other staff of the council.
