Odion Ighalo’s round of 16 UEFA Europa League strike against LASK has been voted Manchester United’s Goal of The Month for March taking 32 percent of the votes.
The former Super Eagles striker had been picked up by Bruno Fernandez at the edge of the box with the Nigerian juggling the ball thrice before hitting the ball with a left-footed volley to hand the Devils the lead in a 5-0 win away from home.
Ighalo’s strike was selected ahead of Scott McTominay, whose memorable late goal against Manchester City received 26 percent. Bruno Fernandes’s first strike from open play for the Devils at Everton, finished third in the poll with 16 percent.
The 30-year-old have found the back of the net four times in eight appearances this season since joining the side on loan from Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua.
The award is Ighalo’s first since joining the side. The player had earlier lost the Player of The Month to fellow new signing, Bruno Fernandez.
