The Chairman of Hassan Olawale Giwa (HOG) Foundation, Arc (Dr.) Hassan Giwa has joined top Nigerians to celebrate the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba (Dr.) Mahood Lekan Balogun on the occasion of his 80th birthday.
Arc Giwa, in a statement, appreciated God for the life of the first class monarch, which he described as a demonstration of an exemplary lifestyle that has brought purposeful development to the Aliiwo family and Ibadanland in general.
He said that the simple but purposeful lifestyle of a scholar, a successful businessman, a politician of note and the Olubadan of Ibadanlan is worthy of emulation.
“I want to join the numerous sons and daughters of Ibadan to celebrate my father, a great achiever, who added another year to his age, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Mahood Lekan Balogun, Alli Okumade ll, on the occasion of his 80th birthday anniversary.
“Kabiyesi over the years has demonstrated a lifestyle worthy of emulation. His commitment and dedication to the progress of his family, Ibadanland, Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole is second to none. That is why we are witnessing peace and progress during his tenure in Ibadanland.
“Kabiyesi, you deserve to be celebrated particularly now that almighty Allah has spared your life to clock 80 years with sound health. I pray that during your time and reign, Ibadan will continue to grow in peace, and you will celebrate many years in sound health. Kabiyesi, I wish you a long life and more prosperity,” Giwa said.
