Juventus could make Nigeria international and striker, Victor Osimhen their major transfer target when the January transfer window opens.
Sports consultant and lawyer Nicola Penta, who has close ties with Juventus leadership, said signing a centre-forward is the club’s top priority and suggested that available transfer funds should go towards securing Osimhen.
Speaking on TMW Radio, Penta claimed Osimhen was previously the only striker close to joining Juventus before an unidentified development stopped the deal.
He suggested Juventus could offer an initial payment of €30 million to €40 million, with the balance settled in instalments, to bring the Nigerian to Turin.
Osimhen, who currently plays for Galatasaray, has previously been linked with Juventus. He also showed his quality against the Italian side by scoring the goal that eliminated them from last season’s UEFA Champions League.
However, Penta’s comments amount to a transfer recommendation, not confirmation of an official bid or talks between the clubs.
